Lanson Place Hotel – Hong Kong

Hong Kong Here We Come

Room Type: Prestige Suite & Deluxe Room
Stay: 6 nights

Located in Causeway Bay, this small boutique hotel was perfect for a girlie meet up in Hong Kong to celebrate a birthday. Hong Kong has a huge number of hotels to choose from and the top brands are expensive.

We booked two rooms here, one suite and one deluxe bedroom, both included breakfast, evening drinks and canapés. We actually got a Grand Luxe room rather than the suite but they have now changed the website so less confusing.

For the second visit I booked a suite but got a de luxe room which had a separate living area and was better than the Grand Luxe. Note: some de luxe rooms do not have this layout.

How to get there and Check in

First time we had a private transfer and second a taxi from the airport.  There is a MRT station approximately a 8 to 10 minute walk away.

Check in was slightly complicated due to the two rooms but on the second visit very efficient.

Room

Our Prestige Suite was not quite as expected as it was really just one big room with a partial wall in-between the beds and seating area so we asked to see the one that was shown on the website which was worse so we stayed put. The room was modern and has a small kitchenette area but the shower room is small with one sink, toilet and separate shower... adequate just about for two women to share.  No view to talk about.

Our second suite was much better with a slightly larger bathroom and a more separate living area.

All rooms were clean and comfortable

Stunning setting for breakfast and afternoon tea- plus you can smoke INDOORS!

Breakfast and evening canapés was included with the rate and this is served in the large lounge on the reception level.

Breakfast is good although you sometimes have to wait for things to be restocked.  In the evening they serve a few canapes, wine including sparkling, beer and some spirits.

Conclusion

A great little boutique hotel with very good rates for the room and what you get included.

The location is excellent and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Taxis were easily found by the hotel staff.

Highly recommended!

TIP - if you are leaving early in the morning then order a Breakfast box the night before. You get one each filled with yoghurt, juice, pastries, fruit, jam and butter, this was a godsend in Luxor!
